Dr. Ronald S. Bergman founded Bergman Cosmetic Surgery in
1982. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Osteopathic
Medicine and Health Sciences and successfully completed his
residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Mercy
Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Bergman
has paved the way for Osteopathic Physicians from the University
of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in the Des
Moines area.
Dr. Bergman has expertise in all areas of breast surgery.
He is highly regarded as one of the only physicians in Iowa
to offer permanent hair replacement surgery.
Dr. Bergman also has a special interest in all areas of
reconstructive hand microvascular surgery and is an innovator
of surgical techniques in the treatment of carpal tunnel
syndrome.
Dr. Bergman is Internationally known and has been featured
in Ladies Home Journal and Pageantry Magazine. He has also
been featured in numerous local and national news outlets
including: WHO-TV 13, KCCI-TV, WOI-TV, WHO 1040 AM, The Des
Moines Register, CityView, The Washington Post, CNN.com,
FOX News, and Broadcasting and Cable Magazine.
Dr. Bergman is the director of Mercy Limb Trauma and Microsurgery
Center which has received limb injuries of all severities
from throughout Iowa. He is board certified in plastic and
reconstructive surgery by the American Association of Physicians
Specialists and has fellowships from the International College
of Surgeons, American Association of Medical specialists,
American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American
College of Angiology. He is a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic
Surgeons, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, American
Burn Association and International Society of Hair Restoration.
